Our Austin 20/6 Vintage Hearse

Alternative hearses are becoming more popular, we can supply for any requirements or wishes. These could include coloured hearses, motorbike and sidecar and horse and carriages.

As well as our traditional black Ford funeral fleet, we have been extremely fortunate to obtain a beautiful 1930's Austin Hearse. Purchased in January 2019 from Wilcox Limousines we are the proud owners of "Hettie" (named by Joan and Lynn) our Austin 20/6 hearse made in 1933. Originally made as a limousine it was converted in the 1940's into a hearse. Our Austin has been restored to showroom condition by its previous owners and is now maintained to a high standard and kept in pristine condition by our own staff and is garaged on our own premises.

The Austin Hearse allows us to provide a lovely traditional funeral vehicle which can be used on local funerals for our own clients. We do not hire it out for other funeral directors it is only for our own use. Because of the age and construction of the Austin we don't usually promise to use her on funerals, but will always use her where we can.

"Hettie" has been very popular with our families and it provides that lovely touch of class on a funeral and can certainly be a talking point and a lovely memory for the families that we serve .
